Live Company highlights 2021 events schedule and soft launch of Start Art platform

Live Company Group PLC (LON:LVCG) said it has over 18 events planned for the second half of the year so far, while Start Art, the online and digital art sales platform in which it recently took a 16.3% stake, has today carried out a ‘soft launch’.

Ahead of the full launch and opening of its dedicated NFT division later in the year, Start Art is now live and offering products from its first curated selection of artists, with Live Company expecting the platform to be revenue producing “from launch”.

The AIM-listed company, which is releasing its 2020 financial results later this week, said it is working on a number of collaborative projects including potentially the sale of works from K-Pop artists constructed as plastic brick mosaics, which will be marketed on the platform.

“I am delighted that the Start Art team are progressing the launch of Start.art,” said Live Company chairman David Ciclitira.

“With the upcoming addition of NFTs and other divisions of the business, we look forward to hearing more from the team with regards to their ambitious expansion plans in the second half of the year.”

In a separate announcement, Live Company also provided an update on its events schedule for 2021, with 26 dates in the diary despite the third UK lockdowns that took place in the company’s first and second quarters.

Within the year’s total so far, there are 18 events booked in between June to October, such as BRICKLIVE Animal Paradise for Paisley First business improvement district (BID), BRICKLIVE Brickosaurs for Croydon BID and BRICKLIVE Ocean at Knowsley Zoo, Prescot

Discussions are also taking place for Christmas 2021, the company said, with several shopping centres aiming to start their Christmas campaigns in at the start of November this year.

Ciclitira said: “It is still a challenging time for many of our clients and we are pleased to see many existing clients re-booking with us and new clients seeing the draw of our products.”
