() said new drilling results continue to support the potential for resource expansion of the Havieron gold-copper project in Western Australia.

Newcrest Mining Ltd (), its joint venture partner in the project, has completed a total of 184,081 metres of drilling from 212 holes so far. Seven new drill holes, previously unreported, have all intersected significant mineralisation.

The drilling continued to confirm extensions to the high-grade South East Crescent and the Northern Breccia mineralisation below and around the initial inferred mineral resource estimate. Drill hole HAD138 (Northern Breccia) reported 84.5 metres at 2.0 grammes a tonne (g/t) gold and 0.05% copper from a depth of 683 metres, including 12.7 metres at 6.0 g/t gold and 0.01% copper.

Greatland Gold said construction activities at the project are also progressing well.

() has reported further high grade and long intercepts from ongoing drilling at its Havieron project in Western Australia.

According to analysis by Berenberg, the results so far suggest the existence of extensions to the northern breccia zone already outlined by Greatland and its partner Newcrest Mining Ltd.

Among the highlights were intercepts of 84.5 metres grading two grams per tonne gold and 0.05% copper and 36.2 metres at 2.7 grams gold and 0.09% copper.

‘s () most recent exploration update shows the company is advancing the potential size and value of the gold-copper orebody at its Havieron project.

Chief executive officer Shaun Day tells Proactive London that every time the explorer drills at Haveiron it hits really good mineralisation. “Seven holes. Seven good intercepts,” says Day, gives the team and shareholders confidence about “the continuity and the continuation of grade in this ore body.” He’s also confident that Greatland will deliver the pre-feasability study in the second half of 2021.

The Havieron project is operated by Newcrest under a Joint Venture Agreement with Greatland and Day adds: We’ve got this beautiful opportunity to have a low risk start up with an incumbent operator.”
