Trident Royalties PLC (AIM:TRR, FRA:5KV) returned a loss after taxation of US$930.000 in the six months to June 2021, somewhat higher than the previous year’s US$550,000 loss, partly as a result of a temporary lack of activity on the Trident royalty tenement at Koolyanobbing.

Trident generated royalty income from its Koolyanobbing asset of US$80,000.

Operating losses were US$1.38mln.

Following the royalty acquisitions, total net assets of Trident Royalties increased from US$25.51mln at the end of 2020 to US$58.45mln as at 30 June 2021.

During the period the company completed on three transactions comprising a total of 8 royalties.

These included the acquisition of a 60% interest in a gross revenue royalty over the Thacker Pass lithium project in Nevada, USA, of three net smelter royalties over the Pukaqaqa copper project in Chile and a portfolio of four gold royalties over exploration and development stage projects in Western Australia.

Separately, Trident also reported progress at the Rebecca gold project, which contains over 1.1mln ounces of gold and over which it holds a 1.5% net smelter return royalty.
