Genel Energy PLC (LSE:GENL, OTC:GEGYY) said production from the Tawke PSC in Kurdistan averaged 105,179 barrels of oil per day (bopd) in the third quarter.
The update from operator DNO ASA did not provide separate production figures for the Tawke and Peshkabir fields within the PSC.
Production from the Tawke PSC has fallen from an average 110,304 bopd in the second quarter and 113,742 bopd in the third quarter of 2020.
In its second-quarter production update in July, Genel said that no new wells were added at the Tawke field in over a year, but that its natural decline was partially offset by pressure support from the reinjection of over 20mln cubic feet of gas per day from the Peshkabir field.
Subject to final contract approval from the Ministry of Natural Resources, Genel expects five Tawke wells, three of which will be side tracks, to be drilled before the end of the year.
