Kavango Resources sees huge upside at KSZ in Botswana

Kavango Resources is a mineral exploration company focused on Botswana. Kavango has been set up by an experienced team of geologists and a geophysicist with a history of exploration discoveries in southern Africa. The focus in Botswana is centred on three projects, which are prospective for copper, nickel and PGE metals.

(, ) said a magnetic survey on a second hole at its Kalahari Suture Zone project in Botswana had identified what it believes is the tip of an EM conductor.

Hole TA2DD002 was surveyed to a depth of 780m and identified the upper edge of a conductive anomaly in the Proterozoic gabbro rock formation.

EM conductors are bodies of highly conductive minerals such as graphite, magnetite and metal sulphides, added Kavango, which conduct electricity very rapidly provided the mineral grains are in contact with each other.

Hole TA2DD002 was the second hole of the current drill campaign in the KSZ project.

(, ) was awarded an Environmental Management Plan (EMP) covering all of its prospecting licences in the Kalahari Copper Belt in Botswana, allowing it to undertake drilling work for two years.

Kavango Resources PLC (LSE:KAV, OTC:KVGOF) said it renewed five prospecting licences in its Kalahari Suture Zone (KSZ) project in Botswana.

Each prospecting licence runs for an additional two years and they are due to expire on 30 September 2023.

Suddenly, in the third week of September, shares in Kavango Resources PLC (LSE:KAV, OTC:KVGOF) shot up, recovering almost all the ground they’d lost since the end of July.

They are now trading at close to all-time highs, and indeed the only times they’ve been higher were at the peaks that began in June of this year.

He explains why they chose Friday afternoon to announce they have requested Mindea Exploration and Drilling Services (Pty) to extend Hole TA2DD002 to 1,000m depth, which is the technical limit of the drill rig on site within acceptable safety margins, to assist in further developing and refining the Company’s model of the KSZ.

Prior to this the firm unearthed what it said appears to be signs of copper mineralisation in pyroxenite at 651m from surface at its Kalahari Suture Zone (KSZ) exploration project in Botswana.
