BATM Advanced Communications Ltd (LSE:BVC, OTC:BTAVF) won a cyber security contract worth US$3.5mln from a “long-standing government defence department customer”.

The company will provide the customer with hardware and software as part of its network cyber security solution.

“In the last five months, we’ve been awarded over US$17mln in cyber contracts as governments resume investment in cyber solutions following the temporary diversion of resources during the pandemic,” said chief executive Zvi Marom.

“We believe we have a unique best-in-class solution, but at the same time we continue to innovate to expand the applications of our cyber products.

BATM Advanced Communications Ltd (LSE:BVC, OTC:BTAVF) said its Edgility virtual networking solution was selected by a managed service provider to manage services with its business customers in the 55 countries in which it operates.

France-based e-Qual signed a five-year contract to use the Edgility OS and Edgility Central products for the management and orchestration (MANO) of its services.

(, ) has been awarded a contract for its agri-waste treatment solution by a cattle facility in Botswana, its first contract in Africa.

The contract is worth EUR909,920, of which EUR376,000 has already been received, and delivery of the project is expected to complete in the second half of 2022, BATM said in a statement.

The firm operates through two segments: the bio-medical division and the networking & cyber division, both built on the creation of intellectual property backed by patents.

Shore Capital sees positive ‘long-term upgrade potential’ for BATM Advanced Communications Ltd (LSE:BVC) which today released upbeat interim results.

“With a strong balance sheet, BATM is addressing large market opportunities demanding technology-based solutions with clients and partners keen to tap into its emerging technologies,” Shore Capital analyst Robin Speakman said in a note.

“Strong underlying operating development is now visible across both Networking & Cyber and Bio-Medical (which includes Diagnostics) divisions.”
