Walkers (LSE:WCW) crisps continue to be in short supply in shops across the country, with nearly a third of stores having little to no stock on its shelves.

The Office of National Statistics reported that data from Kantar, an analytics and brand consulting company, showed that 4% of stores visited had no multipacks for sale.

Data collected between 12 November and 15 November also highlighted that 26% only had a limited supply.

The brand, which has been owend by PepsiCo (NASDAQ:PEP), has been dogged by an IT issue at the end of October, forcing it to scale back production and focus on its more popular flavours, such as ready salted and cheese and onion.

However, the problem has seemingly been resolved, with Walkers anticipating the shelves to return to its normal level in time for Christmas.
